Hello everyone, I am Charlie, a Carmelite Brother currently living in the great Midwestern US and I welcome you to The Hungry Friar website.

As the subtitle above shows, this site contains cooking recipes that I  and other members of the Carmelite family have collected from many sources and have enjoyed using in our kitchens. Some of the recipes are original, others have been passed down to us from many sources during the course of our Carmelite lives.

Visitors to this site are welcome to copy recipes for their personal use but may not use them for commercial purposes without securing proper permissions. Where known, the original author of recipes on this site have been acknowledged on the page listing the recipe.
